We propose to initiate the development of South Harbour with a small public market selling local produce and seafood. The market would represent the center of the town and be the place where residents and visitors would gather to shop, eat, drink and socialise. Focussed on an existing Pohutukaw tree at the water’s edge, this space would be an icon for the development.
